Hi, I am new to the forum & Brisbane. I have just bought a 1970 beetle with a Carrera kit. It has the whale tale,torana lights,flared guards,fibreglass bumpers & running boards & bonnet with the narrow slot up top near the windscreen.
Does anyone know where these kits came from? Are there many cars like this around?
I am just looking for some history on it..

carrera kits have come from lots of places but john sherman told me himself he first started making them in about 74

sounds like yours has the full kit with the works

ours has some of the kit on it aswell
