Hi All, my name is Frank and I live in Geelong Victoria, I am 53 years of age and spent the first half of my life totally wrapped up with Vdubbs, worked for various vw repair shops and also operated my own vw & corvair shop back in the the eighties. Drifted away from the vdubs and got into chevies (still am) but have just caught the vdub bug (disease) again!! My wife thinks I'm nutz and reckons that our lives have just gone full circle!! I am in the process of starting up a vw & corvair workshop again, and am starting to get a collection of dubs n corvair engines once more, in the early days, I used build performance vw motors, then got right into corvair engines and also fitted alll sorts of non vw engines into volkswagens, from water pumping v8s & mazda rotary engines to v6 buick engines. But have allways had a passion for the air cooled flat six corvair engine. they are a fantastic fit and NO radiators, sure some will say "old engines" but the sound of a vair powered vdub going past gets your attention, you can get over 200 hp out of a corvair but really, a factory stock 110hp will run smooth as silk and last many many moons, plus ya gotta love those hydraulic lifters and NO tappet adjustments. Anywayz, just introducing myself, hope I havent rubbed too many of yas the wrong way with my passion for vairs. looking forward to some interesting volksies cheers Frank
