Hey guys, stumbled on this place while Googling for parts places for the Mk1 GTi i'm doing up at the moment.

A bit about me - i'm an ex-pat pom (chose a round-the-world ticket over a Corrado VR6 - not really regretting it), been out here 7 1/2 years, now married to an Aussie chick.

In my garage is 'blue meanie', a highly-modified 1981 GTi that a mate imported from the UK in about 2004. Had the car about 5 months, took it out for the initial test drive last weekend and the mission is to get a roadworthiness done before the UVP runs out next month.

Well, a lot has happened in the last 4 months. The Golf is now ready to go in for the roadworthy this Saturday, so will post latest pics in the Members Rides forum. Enjoy (and wish me luck!)
