VW dealers might have a second hand Caddy or two for sale. Definitely put in a [WTB - YourStateGoesHere] VW Caddy post in our for sale cars section.

Our cleaner bought a new TDI Caddy, after I recommended she go visit the local VW dealer. She loves it. Very large load for all her cleaning supplies, and uses hardly any fuel.

thanks,
Andrew

I'm not sure but I don't believe that the Mk1 Caddy pick-up (ute) was ever sold in Australia. The local ute buyers would never have accepted it as a replacement for their Holden/Ford/Valiant, and I think by the time they were imported the poor little Caddy would have been way too expensive. You might have to import one from Europe yourself mate!

Edit: As far as my research can find the first Caddy officially imported to Australia was the 2005 model. Sorry mate! How about a nice 5 door Golf instead? Or a single-cab bay window Type 2. They're about as close as you can get to a Caddy in Australia. The only locally available utes which are roughly equivalent would be the Subaru Brumby, which is awesome, and the Proton Jumbuck, which is possibly the worst ute ever made.
