Hey guys,

Im just looking at buying a cheap VW Beetle and I thought this would be the perfect place to look! Just want something cheap to have fun with on the weekends and get my hands dirty on.
I drive a Mitsubishi as a daily so that doesnt really count but my parents are in the process of buying a Passat CC (very very hot interior :P)

Hopefully I can find the right car for me in the neer future and begin pestering you all for advice soon after that haha.

In getting old beetle for around $2000 thats registered would i have to spend alot of $$ to keep it on the road and running?
I have a '66 Valiant previously and it was a money hole..

Haha, you sound a bit like me, Beetle project can and Mitsubishi daily, and your not far from me. If you find something registered for $2k you better jump on it.
