Hello all.
My name is Cat, and I am originally from Dallas, Texas. I moved to Perth a year ago and a few months later bought a lovely '68 Beetle off a nice
couple moving to Melby. She's my first bug although I have always held a deep love for Beetles, Kombies, and Things. I absolutely adore my Gal and
would love to fix her up and make her even better than she is now.
I've never before had a car that I could fix myself, or that I even wanted to bother with, so I'm new to the idea of restoration. I've joined this
forum in the hopes of finding more experienced VDubbers who can help me on my journey.
I'm an artist, so purists may cringe when I say that I adore her non-original shade and have replaced the cardboard glove-box with an astroturf one
just for shits and giggles.
There's lots more to do, but high on my list are new, more original-looking wing mirrors and re-upholstering the luggage compartment. I'll be
around, asking advice, so if you feel like helping a noob, please, oh, please do.
Here's a glamour shot of me and my Gal!
Welcome! Nice superbug.

You'll love your beetle. They are a fun car to own and drive.
Welcome to the best forum for vw owners, I'm sure there a lots of people here happy to help, look forward to seeing more posts from you
wow. your very attractive.........the bug that is.
Welcome to the forum. Will be happy to help.
Thanks guys.
She is a beaut and I adore her. I love going for a drive on a nice day. I often find myself grinning like an idiot and having so much fun that I get
disappointed when I arrived at my destination.
I'll post in the member's rides forum when I have a few more photos.
Being an old gal, however, there is still alot to do, and I'm looking forward to finding people to help me figure out how best to go about it. Things
like my horn not working, where to get window scrapers with rubber on, how to fix my handbrake and a bunch of other little things. Do they even make
speedos in Kms?
