another newbie here from sydney....had the 73 beetle for a couple of years, now realise it is time to make him like new. but where do you start, anyone done this...shud i join a club..any recommendations, see i am not really mechanical...but i am bug mad...any advice?

I guess it depends what you want to do, where abouts are you in Sydney I can recommend RAW out at Campbelltown who have done all the work on my beetle.

Am here at Concord. Mechanically, Boris @vintage vee dub looks after me.

But I guess I just want to be more involved...try to do a few things for myself...with a little help.

As for what to do or where I go with my bug....he does all my travelling for me, my daily ride. 50k's each way each day. I just think he needs a bit of dressing up.

Anyone used the dash cover for the superbug from classic vd ? from what i can gather...it just goes over the top??
