Unfortunately I'm not an aircooled owner but I've been into my VWs and Audis for a few years now. I used to have a Mk3 Golf 2.0L 8V that was my first car and had owned for about 5 years until a few weeks ago when it was in an accident. It was a base for my learning experience in modifying and working on cars. I got a feature in VWMA a few years back that was written and photographed by Dominic D'Acri.

Here was the Mk3 in its "prime":



I now drive an Audi A3 1.8T and enjoying it as it is before I start modifying that too.

Anyway I thought I'd jump on here to try and offload some of my stuff that I accumulated over the years for my Mk3, some of which is used in the aircooled scene.

I rather like the Mk3's. My wife had a VR6 Mk3, and my son-in-law had a GL Mk3, both white.
