Welcome, nice ride
Congrat's on your "new" car.
Where did you find that beauty?
Very nice.
thanks
had been looking for a while for an oval and thought i found one in SA but the deal fell thru then was looking at one in QLD but was gonna cost to
much to get it
then this poped up in VIC and i grabbed it ...right price had all the bits and it even drives! just need resto and some rust repairs which is the
reason i got it
have since changed the guards since the ones on it were heavily dinted and pitted with surface rust
fitted new brake lines throughout
sanded of the burgundy spraypaint on the sides back to original paint
got another bonnet and some bits and pieces (thanks stu)
started stipping down the interior
and im in the process of taking the front apron and right inner off which is where im stuck at
(o ! /o)
lovely oval! cant wait to see the finished product
great looking oval. keep the photos coming. cant show too many pics
where was the one you were after in qld? wouldnt mind an oval
heres a few more pics donovan
with the changed guards , bonnet and rubbed back to original paint. i think its jupiter grey....
anyone suggest another early period color that may look nice?
(o ! /o)
I think all the Aussie ovals are Gunyah Grey, I know the late 55/56 are, I could be wrong though!
welcome
look forward to seeing you driving this about to all the shows
nice score
Hi Simon,
Nice looking ride!
how did you go with replacing the front inner quarter?
I would be interested to know whats involved and how you went as I am currently looking at a 54 that needs similar work (and some!).
Cheers,
Joel
