please excuse my lack of knowlege when it comes to beetles but i'm not sure what year it was but there was a nice bug, ver accessorized, beige i think with a stripe(forget the colour) down the body, spotted on old windsor ropad near bella vista, (NSW).
top stuff, it was awsome:thumb
