I used to live in the Isa till last year, the bloke who has the RACQ (I think his name is Chris HOOKEY) has heaps of dubs in his holding yard with splitties and utes and there is also a fair few splitties in the vintage clubyard opposite the airport from memory.. was used to seeing the usual backpackers in the kombis on their around Aussie trips, but cant recall seeing anything like that... though the isa is a colourful place (I think that the kit was a 'Bose' kit that was around in the early eighties- someone had one in Toowoomba, but had different tastes with regards paint schemes..)

whoever says carerra kits are a bit 80's and a bit ugly should really check out the 80's-ness and extreme ugliness of that poor abused bug :cry
