i saw a blue/white 60's splitty in canberra yesterday going down condomine street in canberra. it looked in great condition the paint looked original. there was some repair work done on the right rear corner. the bus looked great. anyone here own it?

no brucie. it was lighter blue. it was in great nick. it looked all original even paint. it must have just sat in the shed for the last 30yrs. canberra weather must be great for VW's

hey byronbus, you didnt sell your about 3months ago did. you. if so my lady met the guy in taree today, and he is taking back to uk to sell, once he has finished his travels.

Thats the one, sold it to a guy who sold it 3 months ago to a couple who were travelling then taking her home, upsets me everytime i think about it...i sold it for a fair price and he sold it for not much more as he didnt really know what they are worth...i would have purchased her back for that, a lot of memories, I guess you cant keep everything, but you can try :D

yeah, jac bumped into him in taree, taking a pic of ours. said he paid 5500. and is pretty happy. is cruising around for a little while more b4 heading back to the uk. thing is he's not planning on keeping it either. he is thinking to sell it on.

Driving through Byron today and i stumbled upon my old blue and white splitty, he paid 5k with 12 mths rego, plenty of rust but not too bad, stopped and talked, took some photo's...still makes me cry :cry Anyway as said before cant keep everything, the neighbours already think im nuts

Not moving to Sydney yet, just moved into a studio apartment with no garage...the oval is in the storage shed, but running out of room, i want to keep the yoot and the panel...so the oval may have to go :(
