i saw a blue/white 60's splitty in canberra yesterday going down condomine street in canberra. it looked in great condition the paint looked original. there was some repair work done on the right rear corner. the bus looked great. anyone here own it?
It wasnt my old one was it Big John?
no brucie. it was lighter blue. it was in great nick. it looked all original even paint. it must have just sat in the shed for the last 30yrs. canberra weather must be great for VW's
Must keep it under lock and key. I'm out about with my job and haven't come across it yet! Damn you're lucky Astro!
Haven't seen it, but I'll keep my eyes open!
hey byronbus, you didnt sell your about 3months ago did. you. if so my lady met the guy in taree today, and he is taking back to uk to sell, once he has finished his travels.
Thats the one, sold it to a guy who sold it 3 months ago to a couple who were travelling then taking her home, upsets me everytime i think about
it...i sold it for a fair price and he sold it for not much more as he didnt really know what they are worth...i would have purchased her back for
that, a lot of memories, I guess you cant keep everything, but you can try
il bring you some tissues tomorow brucey. youve got to move on she's gone there are other fish in the sea. dont forget to but the o-ring for tomorow when we fit the oil temp gauge.
hey purple martin do you find the weather good for vw's?
there seems to be alot of country side around canberra - any barn finds that you can let me know about
yeah, jac bumped into him in taree, taking a pic of ours. said he paid 5500. and is pretty happy. is cruising around for a little while more b4 heading back to the uk. thing is he's not planning on keeping it either. he is thinking to sell it on.
Oh man, that really upsets me:cry
Driving through Byron today and i stumbled upon my old blue and white splitty, he paid 5k with 12 mths rego, plenty of rust but not too bad, stopped and talked, took some photo's...still makes me cry :cry Anyway as said before cant keep everything, the neighbours already think im nuts
hows the surf brucey. are you still living in the same flat?
surf small but fun, moving this week :thumb Might need to sell the oval or take it to Sydney
moving to sydney....... sounds like your chasing a girl!
Not moving to Sydney yet, just moved into a studio apartment with no garage...the oval is in the storage shed, but running out of room, i want to keep
the yoot and the panel...so the oval may have to go
you should just store it if you can find somewjere. its a keeper.
Big John, ask the old man if i can store it in their carport? And
i'll let you work on it
he is still spewing over the paint we left on the driveway. nah just jokes. i was thinking about getting that splitty you pointed out so give us a yell if you sell the seat etc. hope alls well. talk to you later.
