last weekend i went camping with one of my friends in her beat-up black baja.............
you wouldn't believe how many kombis, beetle and random volkswagens i spotted along the highway on the trip down (granted, once we crossed the Qld border i noticed they seem to do a lot of things differently/better down south, so i guess that accounts for better taste in cars, hence more vws....)
but if you thought "how unusual to spot so many veedubs in one day...."..........then imagine my surprise after we pitched the tent to find so many fellow campers with volkswagens too ------

in fact, i think i counted at least 3 other bajas near us....not to mention the rest of them ---- fancy that hey, what are the odds of seeing so many dubs in a period of just 4 days??????????

When Coopgirl and I holidayed at the gold Coast we took a trip back down to Byron via Murbah... we were counting VWs for the whole trip...

Just that side trip, Surfers to Byron and back, we saw 74 Bay kombis alone!

I'd do anything to take my mind of Matts driving! :P

It is funny that you mention going camping and saw a whole lot of VW's in the same park ..... Same thing happened to me. Rod and I decided to pack up Veronica (blue NB Cabrio) and go for a cruise to Valla beach and low and behold everyone in the park also drove around in VW's and people starting calling me MSCabrio ........ don't know why ??????
