These have been provided by Big Buisness to assist the police with daily duties they are not pursuit vehicles, more the pen pushers get around cars there is also a mini and a smart car

Randwick have had that for a couple years now.

Doesn't look as good as my 65 German police beetle will.

mscabrio - May 24th, 2005 at 09:03 PM

Too bad the Vic cops don't have something like that, that would be wicked ......

bajachris88 - May 24th, 2005 at 09:16 PM

Its interesting, i wouldn't mind being a cop driving nice cars like that.

lol, the police in America are lucky. Some cruise around in police dodge vipers, and other American beasts. saw a few photos of em with the siren lights and all. Obviously in this case, its cause they are fast and are good with road chases, just like how the Australian police started to use the subarus.

Its interesting, most of the racers who use the dodge viper hardly ever put anything else/extra under the bonnet or anywhere to do em up better, cause the car purchased standard is already a dangerous growling beast.

But once they pull someone over, how can they arrest em in a viper? No set of back seats or cage to throw em in. Can't put em in the front passenger seat lol, otherwise the cop driving would have a bit of a destraction with some thug trying to escape while trying to bash and curse his head off at the cop. Maybe throw em in the boot. hmm.

I have seen it too, but at the Bondi Junction police station.

Yes there are a few around Easten suburbs , yellow one , white and silver ones. Ahhh bless um

Have a few tasteful mods like extra large coffee cup holders for their megabuck skinny decaf lattes , pink neon lighting under the car for late night cruises down Oxford street and usually driven by PC Tightpants and Officer Internal search.

Cops in new bugs , oh well someone has to drive them LOL ( sorry not a fan , suits the ladies!)

back in 1989 I was working at a porsche dealers in sydney and we loaned the police a 928s4 for their stand at the motorshow they did it up like a highway patrol car you should have seen the looks it got when it pulled out of the showroom very scary

I was in the city the other night and saw city sydney police had a lotus elise (or something similar) sitting out the front of the police station.

It was all decked out with the checks and POLICE all up the side as well as strobs on the roof. Imagine going to work and getting to drive a lotus as your work car. Cool
