Triumph Herald Coupe C1960 body, with Beetle pan & some of beetle front panel

Wow you see some interesting cars in Geelong. I can remember seeing one of those crazy old cars with wood on the side every now and then...

no, it is just a one off with a Triumph Herald Coupe body on a beetle pan, this was easy to do as the Herald was also built onto a chassis & also had swing axle rear suspension (transverse leaf) but had coil & wishbone front suspension, you can see the VW torsion bar suspension under the front. The triumph had a one peice tilt forward front, & the beetle front panels have been grafted to this

Thats kinda cool. Has the makings of a half decent looking ride I think. Looks like a bit of care and thought has gone into the front panels.
