Nearly choaked on my stir fry when I looked out the window and saw a beige 51 split beetle parked on Unley Rd on saturday night opposite Red Rock noodle bar Unley. Cool number plates too VW:1951. Anyone know the story of this car?

This is the third Spilt beetle in as many weeks now... what's the deal? Is the cold weather bringing them out or something?!

Certainly not something you would drive up the street to pick up your dim sims, maybe he was on way home from a club outing, had club stickers on window.
