its not an S bug its a 1976 bug.

nice looking NON Super beetle....

above a Supers front bumper- boot handle is much higher then
NON Supers... 1968>

Look closer guys, it's alot older than 76.
Clues are there if you know what you're looking for

Apologies for not being a complete VW nerd, its a 74 standard I think. It's a nice looking beetle.

That bug lives down the road from my Parents in Coffs.
I know it has a 2 inch narrowed beam and a 1916 pobjoy engine. thats about it.
