Possible To Spray Clear Paint On Bumpers
Oppressa - December 5th, 2003 at 09:50 AM

I'm considering taking my Brazillian bumpers to a panel beater and getting him to spray a few coats of clear onto them to ward off some of the rain and rust. Would clear coat paint adhere to the chrome of the bumpers?

What about clear paint in spray cans bought from a shop? Would I get drip/running marks if I did it myself?

Just like you cant paint over chrome the same applies to clear over chrome. It will peel, craze and yellow.

You options are as follows
* strip and paint
* strip and re chrome
* ceramic coat in chrome/silver
* change every 2 years
* go rat look

por 15 have a clear coat for this purpose - it can be brushed on.

They also have a coloured coating for chrome - cant decide if I like it
