56 oval Tin Ware "What colour"

I want to re finish the tin ware on the old 56. should I paint it or powdercoat it? and what colour. satin black or gloss black. what was the colour from the factory?

U can ceramic coat it black, its about the same $ as powdercoating from what i have heard
