Dreaded foam removal

Hi

Does anyone know of any way to remove the horrible foam that VW stuck in later Beetles? Does anything dissolve it short of a nuclear blast.

oxy makes a short job of it. a piece of coat hanger does wonders as well

Hi Barls

Does it keep smoldering when you burn it? Dont want to have a Viking funeral.

it goes out eventually but you may want some one in side to keep the flame under control with a spray bottle of water

I have heard petrol may dissolve it. I have not tried it out.

Try some acetone or paint thinners... it will disolve the glue...

Other than that hook into it with a strong bit of hook wire remove the headliner will make it easier.

Easy! Pull it out through the rust holes it causes in the rear roof...

(No idea, apart from a flame and coathanger)
