Doing up a set of wheels for a friend of mine

thought you might like to see the process.

vw54 - October 1st, 2004 at 08:50 AM

the wheels were very corroded

vw54 - October 1st, 2004 at 08:51 AM

Had to soak them in penetrene to remove the center caps.

they had been left out in the rain for a while

After stripping all the wheel weights and caps off i steam blasted them to remove dirt

vw54 - October 1st, 2004 at 08:55 AM

then Glass Bead blasted them each one taking about 30 minutes or so. This strips the paint and leaves a corrosion free surface back to the raw alloy material.

only found one small crack on the lip.
