has anyone had their floorpan dipped ?
is it worth doing and what are the pros and cons of getting this done?
was going to get the pan blasted but there is surface rust in the tunnel which i want to get rid of
am wanting to powdercat the pan as well
a vintage car restorer around the corner from me mentioned dipping the pan

Are you just going to get it dipped to strip it or are you talking about galvo dipping it. I have heard bad things about the galvo dipping but I see no probs with dipping it to strip it as they do complete cars and they come out fine. Just use a good sealer strait after to prevent any surface rust coming back.

Pros: it gets everything off
Cons: You then have to dip it again to stop it rusting away from the inside out...

Blast and paint it ($300 from Advanced sandblasting in Brookvale) and load teh inside of the tunnel with fishoil. Then rotate the pan over to smear it over all the inside surfaces
