How do you find the spot welds on the actual floor section? Easy on the edge...

I have seen pictures on http://www.metwiz.com  in the archives and he usually cuts the floor either side of the I beams or top hats and then air chissels the bits off the I beams or drills the spot welds out. Is your floor really that bad? If you do cut it out I would be interested in some of the off cuts. Got any photos

do you need rust filings?

There's two sorts of sections under a cargo floor
I beam sections and 'top hat' sections - have a look
you can see what I mean... the spot welds are very tough
- not yer pop apart type...

You can air chisel the floor off the I beam sections
OK, but you're better drilling out the spot welds on
the top hat sections - air chiseling just chops em up big time...

I would do another run of cargo floor repair panels if there
was enough interest. Need to do 30 pieces to make a run worthwhile (and I think Roy at ClassicVW (Pacific) is
also importing the LHD brazilian cargo floors....)
