I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on painting when it is raining! I dont mean in the rain but when it is raining.
Does the damp atmoshphere mean bad news down the track for the quality of the paint adhesion? If it is not a bare metal job i imagine rust would not
be the problem rather the paint not sticking and thus later pealing off!
Also being a backyard job what is the best way to ensure that no crap gets on the wet paint. Is it a good idea to push the vehicle into the sun and
let it cook a while?
Last attempt i had a couple of moths stick to the area in question and it took a fair time to dry fully.
Cheers
hmm, perhaps from the lack of response i should assume that the answer to this is the obvious one?
Feel free to perhaps give some handy hints all the same!:kiss
You have to give us some time to answer man!
Under 14o Celcius is not good, and in high humidity ie. raining is not good. Humidity gets trapped in the paint and later in six months or maybe a
couple of years you get humidity blisters.
could somebody tell me how to tell if humidity blisters vs rust as i have a few comming up after full bare metal resto 9mos ago and i suspect this humidity blister thing as i would prefer the sprayer to do the work gratis...

Usually not much sun shining when it is raining.
Generally If it is wet and cold I would wait for a better day to do it.
