I have done a little work beefing up the area behind the back seat of my beetle. I removed alot of the old seam sealer so I could weld gussets and some 200mm x 200mm x 2mm shaped steel plates on each side.

Will I need to apply seam sealer prior to primer or vice versa?

I was just going to spray on etch primer after seam sealer until I get it resprayed.

etch prime, then seam sealer, then primer before colour... allow 25-30 mins for seam sealer to go chewy before applying 1 coat of high solid 2k primer, allow flash off, and paint colour.. no sanding of the 2k primer
