A wire brush on a drill...?
Steel wool & Deoxidine will get that light rust off quite easily.
what they said ^^^^^
but use a scotch bright pad.
use the steel wool dry (not the soapy type) and rub the wholw thing down then wipe over with dry rag.
the wearing GLOVES apply deoxidiser with a brush, while deoxidser is still wet remove with a sotch bright pad and water.
then dont touch it unless uve got gloves on. (just whack some pressure pack spray paint on it once its dry )
I agree with pyro. As a sandblaster / panelbeater / spray painter the deoxidine method is the easiest way to do it as sandblasting may damage the roof/panels of the car (if the cage doesn't come out)
I am another who will say the deoxidine on a scotch pad will help you out here.
sweeet will try deoxidine
matt that cage is part of the chassis
where do you buy deoxidine from??
Any automotive paint supply shop will have it. It usually comes in 1 litre plastic bottle and has a 'corrosive' symbol on the side of it as it is a phosphoric acid.
If it's corrosive, wouldn't that do more damage in a few years?
