Hi, I am suspecting that eiter one or both of the hinges that hold the hod down on my Karmann Ghia are bent. The panel beater didn't seem to notice but when I put the new hood rubber in and tried to close it :-(

Can I just bash them flat with a hammer? Are they supposed to be perfectly flat?
