hi guys, im a panelbeater in christchurch and have just been laid off thru lack of work, was wondering if anybody knows a VW friendly panelshop in brissie thats hiring....

If you don't mind going to Townsville, there are panel shops up there that are paying for people to come from overseas to work there. That is paying your air fare and transport of your tools for you.

Check out the jobs available on MyCareer and Job Search Australia and you should see Townsville Panel jobs there. Contact them and see.

can ya weld? we could prolly give ya a coupla weeks work down here in coffs harbour fixing VW's while trying to find work :smirk::smirk::smirk::smirk:

In Townsville we also "import" mechanics, mainly from South Africa as there is a major shortage of skilled workers (trades).S'pose the whole country is like that though....Good luck with your search.
