hello world

im looking to get my 71 square done (after it had a minor run in with vandles) and im interested if anyone has any information on the primer look style paint jobs??
prices, durability, and how easy is it to take care of?

im working on a seriously small budget and i have heard its a cheaper alternative.
also a pretty great look!

thanking you in advance

talk to pyro. me him and adam_c had his kombi painted in one day, an awesome primer hoodride.

just be sure to gve it a ghood clear coat when you're done, i remember looking at lukes about a week after we had painted it (he had taken it to byron) and it was covered in dirt bug petrol stains

Fact of the matter is that primer style is exactly that. If you paint it just in primer it is not fully protected and gets a used look. You can't really have a perfect shiny smooth primer look, as that is not what it is. Kind of like ripped jeans. If it is real it looks real. Faux ripped jeans are not the same, but they still have to be ripped.

Basic tip is to just paint it in primer and be prepared to strip all of the primer back off one day if you have to resto it. The alternative is to paint clear over the top. This is the same as painting it anyway.
