probably been covered but would like a short and sweet answer, i know everyone loves POR, so how much does one need to do a complete pan and how much more to do the inner guards, inside the guards, both front and rear lids and the bottom of the body inside or does anyone have another suggestion other than using POR on the body etc, i just figure its thebest PERMANENT option and while im doing the whole de-rusting and re doing the pan i figure whay not. may as well do everything right the first time to save time later.
why not try http://www.rustbullet.com - Andy sells it at Volksfolks, better than POR15 and appears to be to dogs swagger from the write up.
cheers thought about it but por seems common and trusted but i guess i should see for myself and give it a good chance instead of just sayin it must be por i guess, reading up on it now CCC thanks
If you use POR15, make sure you do not use the chassis coat over existing paint (eg. primer) - it does not stick.
Go back to bare metal then use the standard POR rust preventative paint, and chassis coat over the top if you wish. I'd budget on 2L (roughly -
don't blame me though if you run out half way through).
I am going to use rust bullet next time as the prep for por15 was very time consuming.
