just a thought, i may get abused fro this but hey, i dont really like the look of them, and im yet to find a better looking option, one thing i just thought of, what would welding mesh over the opening do to its affectiveness?
Thats not a complete scoop, they come with the mesh but you dont fit them till its painted(if u want them black/silver) or after priming so it can be
colour coded.
If your not to keen on that look there are other options, firstly you can make a scoop section to sit under the body and around the gear box to feed
back to the engine or the option i used and wouldl again is drill two holes in the bottom of the rear guards on the front edge and feed it back that
way its by far the best option but if your trying to have a clean sleep look underbody mite be your best option.
what are your plans???
steff...............
I'd rather the intake in the rear guards. Mind you, the intakes in the picture above would look nice finished off, even if the grill was in the small part of the hole and the rest was just smoothed over.
dub crazy do you have a pic of the completed scoop? ive only seen these as that with no mesh, even on completed remmele cars...
is there a way to make them supply ram air direct to the carbies?
jonno
could be done i guess, run a pipe/hose/duct or whatever from the end of the scoop and to the carb/s i guess so the only way air can go is into the carbs... dont know what effects this would have though
I have some similiar scoops fitted to my car to cool the intercooler which i made and fitted out of fibreglass there should be some pics on here if you do a search under my name. They work really well but i am now about to cut them out to replace them with some thing custom out of metal not quite sure what i am going to do yet. Make sure you think long and hard about cutting holes in the 1/4 panels as some times i wish i didn't. The remmelle scoops are very cool though that is what got me inspired.
thats awesome. Be great to get scoops like that on my 1st car (when its delivered). not in the guards, cause there gonna get a beat. Looks awesome,
and would give a bit more air to the motor.
i like, and mesh/fitting a bit more of an outa curve scoopy part from it would look kool
any actual performance stats or realities from fitting such a thing?
i will have a look through my pics i must have some somewhere as i have fitted a couple of sets over the years for people, as for the coment about
them geting *beat* if fitted into the guards i had them fitted into my guards on a street car and my rally cross car with neither of them getting a
*beat* i really dont know how you came to that conclusion and of the odd stone clipping it surly a mesh would fair better than a standard painted
easliy chiped guard.... don't u think???
steff............................
completed piccies appreciated steff thanks muchly:thumb
