prep for high temperature resistant paint?

i want to paint the tinware etc for my 1776 in temp resistant paint.

ive got most of it back to bare metal but i dont know what to do with the surfaces?

do u get high temp primer? do u apply directly?

i havent bought the paint yet so i dont know what it says on the cans but figured someone would know on here.

The most important thing is to remove all the old material on the surface by either blasting or acid dipping.

Prior to painting wash down with thinners or prepsol and apply paint ASAP

Read the directions on the paint before applying some need under coat and some dont.
