Well, u should see a fella called David, from Ipswich in QLD, he is taking a nice job at his rust, and he got insane amount. He aint throwing the body
away cause of personal reasons. But don't give up. Best option, well, from me, for cheapness, is to get a MIG welder (as i was recommended to), and
DIY cut + weld.
Tis what i'm gonna be up for doing. But any rust is repairable, just takes money and time.
first welcome aboard.
secondly there is nothing that can not be fixed trust me on this one, if its just the two rear turrets it most likely wouldnt be too hard to repair
but it depends on the rest of the body. i know i spent 8 months cutting and replacing the rusty sections of my 72 sbug, and if it was done by someone
else it would have cost me a small fortune but since it was done by my old man and me it only cost me the time and some wielding supplies
heaps of spare panels available at good prices. (for welding to ur body)
Thanks for that.
Are there any other good VW panelbeaters out there in the Lismore Ballina (NSW) area that do not turn away from a bit of rust?
Bert

I'll try Crabbes Creek first. A guy was recommended to me by Stokers Siding VW garage. If that does not work out I will give you a buzz.
