I own a 1975 bay kombi, I need to repair the sill section under the sliding door.

Basically the section are rusted right through. I'm figuring the best way to fix is to buy a replacement section,.. and cut the affected section out,.. bead blast the internal bits, repair as neccessary and weld the new outer section in.
I read awhile ago about a Danish brand of sections being available,.. that are supposed to be the same gauge and better likeness to the original profiles.
Has anybody heard of these?
Does anyone know where to buy them In Brisbane or OZ?
Do people agree with my plan of attack?
Any advice?
