Third weekend in a row with rain!
for all ur SE QLD home DIY reprayers, how much does this weather suk ay... sure we are on a drought, but it might as well rain on a bloody week day
instead. mon, tues and wed was beautiful weather.
CAN'T STAND IT! I can't do hardly a thing in the backyard with this weather! gah!
(any of you fluffy nuts doing ur rain dances, can u leave em for the weekdays )
[Off my soup box, i just had to let it out ]
Mind you though they are only predictions that the weather person is stating. however hope for them to be wrong isn't all that great, cause they are only wrong when they say its good weather. funny how it works ...
what have you been smoking chris ? ? ?
Tell me about it...... I stripped off the floorpan yesterday - but need another hour or two before I blast a couple of spots, rust-convert, do a couple of minor patches then paint. She's out there under a tarp in all her bare metal glory in the rain.
You still doing that Baja up, Chris? Keep at it kiddo!
-Staggers.

well wheres the pics of where you are up to now???
k. heres some pics. mind you, i had this car pretty much all together bout 2 weeks ago, but finalised that i had to do a respray. best to get it out
of the way now.
heres before and after shots.
BEFORE (Rust in pillars)
AFTER (pillars again). whole drivers side pillar and bit of wall replaced. passenger side had a few bits welded here and there... nuffin near as bad
as drivers side.
And the rougher side of novicenessness ness... (but solid and rust free:
Will be hidden under guard and with some black sound deadener stuff sprayed in there.
My garage and spray booth:
Collection of ebay trawling results: (all the spares i need. engine seal kits, carby rebuilding kits, cv boots, chrome fan belt guard, proper 1500
guages (with semi auto lights) and surrounding trim, roller pedal etc. etc.
I know it doesn't look like much, but mind you this thing was completely together one after noon, and when i finalised what i was going to do, it
took me only an hr and a bit to pull off the doors, strip the interior (what was left), remove the guards and the bonnet and the other bits....
am looking at doing a 2 tone paint job. white down the side and midnight blue everywhere else.
I got some good men helping me with it to. jace and a buddy from work who both know what they are doing (unlike me lol)
cool Chris good to see this going ahead in leaps and bounds, and as for the rougher side of noviceness !! we all had to start somewhere and its a baja not a pretty boy car you should see some of the repairs i`ve got to fix up on the baja i`m doing pop riveted plates with sound deadener over them
At least it's not chicken wire, paper mache and a light skim of bog!
-Staggers.
funny you should say that paul, the inner wheel guards where just pop riveted plates on this one when i first got it.
but thanx guys. Paper mache is pretty out there though, fluffy hippy
stylin!
There was someone on here who said they found bread or sum form of pastry/flour-based dough under their sills painted ova. Made me feel betta
Makes you wonder why they bother, hey!
