i dont think u can crome aluminium so whats the best thing to get it nice and shiny, i have to fill some parts up with bog from where its been dug out so i cant just polish it up.

Of course you can chrome aluminium - it's metal isn't it? But it polishes so well, few bother (except die-cast.) Bog will never look shiny, though - what kind of a part are you looking at?

Yes Alluminium can be chromed... just like plastic and die cast alloy as well.

Why would you want to polish one part and have BOG in the other ??

If you have die cast parts that are corroded... they can be re chromed here in Sydney but its expensive but a good job.

What part of a VW and year model are we talking about

the Al has been gauged away where the spare tire was on the front. i didnt really want to put the spare tire on there. but if it results in a better look i will.

i'll try and get a pic of the bullbar i'm talking about, show you the damage!

Might be better off welding it up and dressing it back.

Hell chromming it would cost a bomb..

2 pak paint might be the go

Ring some 4WD places and ask who does their bullbar repairs.
