Any ideas on how to make a old gel coat which is still in pretty good nic shine again.
Which polish is best??

This time, I'll actually recommend carnauba wax - a few rubs and it should look good. Silicon polishes don't take well to gel-coat.

If its still in good shape and not crazed then you might want to rub down with 2000 grade paper and plenty of soap and water to cut it back before the wax.

They even use carnauba wax to polish up Kool Mints (Check the ingredients).
So it obviousley makes you car good enough to eat :o

There is a finnishing polish called finnesse it
It is used to buff and finnish Fibre glass boats, If you use a buff and finnesse it it will bring it up real good and then a finer polish to get rid of the swirly marks and youre home and hosed.
Check your local fibreglass supply shop for the appropriate polishes and advice,
It should be come up like new.
Cheers Tony
