Hay fellow dubbers, in a few months my Petal is going in for a re blossiming. i know when you two wone the colour change line is at the chrome strip, but having a look at the car, what do you do about the door hinge, the top of the hinge is above that line, do you just paint it all or mask up for the line, If anyone can post a close up pic or a two toned beetle at:

The front guard (infront of the chrome mould)
The rear guard (same thing)
The hinge

my 2 i continued the line around the hinges, a bit of a pain but not too hard,and the front and back i just followed the line of the chrome strip further along till it intersected the edge of the body

just took some pics of my Oval i did the 2 tone paint job on in 1988

Its as per above but i have some pics of the hinge and striker plate area which i think turned out OK paint wise

will post pics in the morning

I did the whole of the hinge and continued to the end through the middle of the holes for the ends of the mould near the guards, just like pod did.

yeah its a bit of a greay area where to start n finish the two tone but i am happy with the way i did this and it dosent look out of place
