what to do

after pulling out the carpet and insulation out of the back of the baja i found this :-(

as it has already had a bit of a dodgy repair on the floor part of the parcel shelf ,would it be best to cut the whole firewall out and replace it with the top fold going towards the lip to ease joining it back together???btw the other corner is not as bad but rusted just the same...

put the carpet and insulation back in and pretend you never saw it:lol:

It depends what you want to do. A structurally sound repair can be done by overlapping a new piece of metal and carpeting back over it. A nice repair can be done by fabricating or procuring a section from another vehicle and replacing it properly.
