Do you have a picture. I have been in the panel game for a long time and never heard of one?

Hi

Interesting, the metal would get pretty thin after a while.

Steve, not in the slightest. You'd be surprised actually.
It's one of the tools I used on my Oval to help get panels flat and fast. Way quicker than heating up with an oxy torch that you can only do a spot at a time. A shrinking disk will allow you to get an area flat in a fraction of the time.

Henry, try rods and relics.

thanks flinstones. it looks like i'll be getting a 9" disc after all (my wife bought me an 8" grinder for a present a while back so i didn't get a choice of the size... not complaining though, i think tools are one of the best presents i could get).

i didn't want to have to get one form overseas if i could help it.

i'd never seen compressed air used to cool the panel, looks like a good idea.
