Just wondering if anyone knows about this rust effect paint?
I've seen a squareback & an old splitty bus that have been completley paitned in it... looks like its done by brush or roller.
Any info on who/where/what would be appreciated.
Tea bag. Seriously.
But, there's no replacement for real patina and aging.
I' keen for the rust look, but i want to pin stripe it onto the fibreglass body of my buggy. Where can i buy a small tin.( not spray can ) Thanks Paul
isn't that the ferric oxide? they call it anyways... the paint that is.
Practically spreadable surface rust with resin in a drum, for that oxide look :P
A decent autobarn would be ur first starting point i guess.
Did anyone ever find this stuff??
make your own, iron filings, allow them to rust, then mix them with clear laquer, or scrape or wire brush flaky rust into a pedstle and morter, mash
it up to dust then loosly mix it with clear laquer.
spray the laquer onto seams and dings. rusty finish without the rust!!
