My 60's beetle needs some minor rust work and I am looking for suggestions for people/panel beaters in Southern Sydney who you guys would recommend.

Guys, depends where you are in Sth Sydney but there are a few Panel Beaters in the Shire that I can put you onto that would be able to help. Key here is to be willing to fit into their schedule and / or do as much of the work as you can yourself.

Another option is to enrol in a Tafe evenings short course on panel beating, there are a few on the Sth Side of Sydney and you take your car along and work on it with their tools and under supervision. Wont get you a concourse finish but will get your rust cut out and a good piece of metal welded in. You could then take it to a decent painter and get them to do a blow over..

Course it all depends if your talking about some rust spots in the quarter panels or replacing an entire heater channel

Drop me a text or call me if you want more of a steer..

Hi Mate,

I just got my KG back from the guys at Detroit Custom Bodyworks http://detroitcustom.com.au/

They did an awesome job and really cared about the old VW even though they normally work on GT's

Here is a pic of the Karmann.... and it hasn't been buffed yet.

Cheers,
Kevin
