I was painting my blue and white stock wheels had them nicely masked up and for some reason the white paint went thru the newspaper and got on the
blue part of my wheels?
Is there anything i can use to take white enamel spray off?
I tried turps and nothing came off then i used a scourer and that got most of it off.
Im just scared it may take the other paint off.
Anything i should use?
TURPS IS FOR STANDARD ENAMEL PAINTS...
thinners based paints need paint thinners...
be careful... I wouldn't really try thinners... [or turps?]
If the paint under the overspray
hasn't been there for a long time...
or hasn't been baked on, I don't like your chances...
you could try very fine wet & dry paper {wet]
1800 grit [from memory] as used when a car is painted..

Is the white paint
Acrylic Enamel (spray can)
Acrylic Lacquer
Air dry Enamel (industrial, household or 'jam')
Two part acrylic urethane enamel (2Pak)
What is the blue paint?
If you can get it off with the scourer, you will need to polish the sections you have scoured,
Hi the white paint is acrylic enamel. Not sure what the blue paint is but it looks the same as the one thats on my car.
Coz, wait for it to dry over a 7 day period and use a green scourer and soapy water. Rub it gently and then use a cut n polish to bring back the
shine. Dont use thinners as it will just take the paint right off man.

Thanks guys i will give it a shot.
What cut and polish do you recommend?
Should have mentioned that...
I usually use cutting compound to get over spray off my cars..
I use Meguairs cleaning polish... its a very light cutting compound
polish.. its a bit expensive .. as You use a wax or polish after it..
but any cutting compound should do..
the old cutting compounds used back in the 60s etc..
You added water to it to dilute it..
maybe you can do that with most cutting compounds..?

I used Polyglaze cut and polish which worked like a charm!
Thanks to Adam from Raw Auto Werks!
