Hi
Going cold on Vermilion Fire for my new bug colour, now I'm sort of leaning towards the blue that is on some Holden Rodeos.
Does anybody know the colour code or name of this blue on the Rodeo in the picture.
I really like the colour on this Golf called Jazz Blue, but its a 3 stage metallic.
Steve
There is a Mk3 VR6 golf rego VWART is a special edition one at Volkspower that is very close to that blue , give em a call 03 9808 6777 i am sure they will know the code for it.
that golf looks tragic...sorry steve.
Hi
Thanks Empi, Craig I like the colour, I think it would look good a on bug.
Steve
Google Mk3 golf colour concept
they are very 'lively' colours
you bugger........there's one of those rodeos in Nambucca i keep thinking "nice colour for a beetle" whenever i see it
there is a very similar colour from older nissan pulsars (late 80's) called french blue. Solid colour not metallic but extremely close to the rodeo. On a plus side, these particular nissans were built at clayton!
Hi
Its sort of Brook blue looking.
Just before I had my old yellow bug painted I was sitting in a restaurant at Brighton Beach, people do laps of the beach area, either to find a
parking spot or just cruize, a blue Rodeo kept driving past evey 10 minuts or so and I did consider it for a colour for my old bug then.
I will look into French blue, I usually get a test pot made up and paint an engine lid to see how it looks and see how I feel about it after while.
VW had a blue in the 70 s called Harbour Blue which was nice.
When I was talking to a paint guy the other day he told me that the colour of my old bug, lemon yellow tinter is no longer made because of its lead
content.
