A spray putty gun and a paint gun are two different guns. A putty gun runs at a lower pressure than the spray gun.

It would be advisable to ask the place you buy the products from, as some products are able to run through a normal gravity feed gun also.

It is usually commonpractice to keep putty and colour spray guns seperate so as to not contaminate the colour gun with bits of putty.

Althogh if you are cleaning your equipment properley this should not matter.

I puttied up and primed and sprayed adout 50 cars in acrylic laquer using the one same gun (Star 77)for about 6 years.

to spray highfill 2K you will need a 2.0 to a 3.5 fluid tip on your gun... suction or gravity fed... ... depends on what product you are useing e.g PPG 2K ms will need a 2.0 fluid tip. but to use the PPG deltron high fill u will need a 3.0 ... your paint supplier should be able to tell you what set up will work the best

i got told that high fill primer and filler/primer are different things. the filler primer has filling propertys but is thinner than the high fill and it can be sprayed through a normal gun. which is what i have done.
high fill however, is supposed to be really thick and comes off ripply if your not too carefull..its like spraying liquid bog. u need a special gun to spray it.
i dunno if this is true or not, but thats what i was told.
hope that helps.
