What is the best way to remove the factory bitumen seam sealer on a beetle?

I dug most out with a small wood chisel and cleaned off the remainder with Acetone, slow job!

Wurth flesh removing tool, wire wheel or scraper and elbow grease, normally a combination of all three.

I just point a picture of chuck noris at it and always falls out.
