I'm in the midst of replacing the rear windscreen seal. The original one didin't come off cleanly and has left chunks of old rubber stuck to the window channel. Are there any tips for getting this stuff off easily? Scraping it off with a craft knife is proving to be quite tedious.

keep scraping unless u can con someone else into doing the job
make sure you clean the opening with some prepsol to get all the gunk off and then the rubber will have a better chance to seal and not have any
leaks
are u replacing with cal seals or re doing with origional chrome moldings
Thanks guys. I persevered with the craft knife and now it's pretty clean. I would guess that someone has used glue or sealant under the rubbers at some stage. So whilst most of the residue is gone, I've managed to take some of the paint off as well. But that's ok, since the paint under the rubbers is a nice cream colour, whereas the rest of the car is now black. So tomorrow I'll mask is off and hit it with some rattle can black. I have wax and grease remover and I'll clean up the channel before painting it.
