Hi All
Looking at changing to a different wheel stud bolt pattern. Trying to decide between the Ford pattern(5x114-3) or Landcruiser pattern(6x139-7). Which
one would be the better choice on my Baja?
Ford
Ford pattern offers you a lot more options for wheels, street, race, off road etc, many differing widths & offsets as well as that PCD has been
in use on several different makes & models for a long time now,
Just my opinion,
Nath
Wide 5 VW Pattern , you just need to look outside the square , they are way lighter and that's where it's at on a current buggy build or 3
Will have to disagree with you on that one Andrew. I love my wide 5,but after months of research I was completely unable to find a lighter and
''legal'' version of the wide 5.
But I guess ''legal'' opens up that can of worms again.
Baja_01 - depending on your budget. For junkyard brakes go the ford, many jap and euro cars share this stud pattern. If you have a few dollars to
throw around and can choose the stud pattern doesn't really matter, there are companies now that will build alloy rims to your pattern and offset for
only a fraction more than off the shelf set of mags
Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning more to the Ford pattern. Seems to be a more usefull wheel pattern ie:trailers already Ford and so on.
Andrew, I did think of using the wide five pattern but accessing wheels for this seem to be specialized whereis Ford you can nearly buy them off
Woolies...........
BTW I was thinking of getting a set of these BTR wheels if I used Wide 5 rims....
Steve
You will also find that there are a lot more manufacturers than just Ford using that stud pattern.
