So I just brought 2 145r15 tires for my 70 bug (lowering) and a person just told me that I will still rub while using drop spindles. If true I have just wasted $200+
Depends on wheels, shocks, beam, brakes and height, but yeah, may still rub on a bigger bumps whilst turning
I have 135s and there is no chance of rubbing with drop spindles. It's has a good inch at least of room.
Well unless u have 135 tyres yes they will rub, in the end I installed a two inch narrowed beam and end of story
Yep, just done the exercise. Put dropped spindles in. Let car down off the jack, tyre was hitting the guard.
should a got 135s
you really need to have wheels with a different ET, if the dropped spindles add 20mm a side then the wheel would have to have a increase of +20mm ET to put your tyre back into its original position. ball joint spindles should only increase the track by 6mm a side, link pin spindles about 20mm a side.
