What brake pads for Sherman rear disc kit ?
Craig Torrens - April 19th, 2014 at 01:19 PM

Hi, does anyone know what model of car the brake pads are from on the Sherman rear brake kit ?

I need to get some new pads for a car that has the kit on the rear. I think the calipers are off a Fiat maybe ????

Cheers

Unfortunately I had a set of those, I think they are fiat 124. search this site, it has the drawings for the pads.

Craig are these the calipers?
He hasn't used the Fiat ones for a long time but if it is them they are DB22

I bought a set about 9 years ago and the pads were Remtek DR0252- never heard of that brand before or after and I will never wear the pads out.

Yep 124 Spider calipers and Porsche 914 discs.

You can see on the label mine are Remtek too.
They still have over 75% wear left and they have been in over 70,000kms.
Must be made of titanium.....

I had the same kit on my last bug, mine used to click every time you hit the brakes... all the shims were the and all, used to drive me nuts, fit up a set of aftermarket ones and all was good! Sorry can't remember the number though, If you take the pad into repco etc they'll just match it up with the book for you.
